Here’s a running list of helpful, credible resources to help you on your gardening journey.

Your State’s Cooperative extension Website
Since I’m in North Carolina, I’ll include the link to ours (based out of NC State University). Every state has their own, usually affiliated with a university. This should be where you go FIRST for reliable, science-backed gardening information. Typical topics covered: planting instructions, pests, plant diseases, gardening information specific to your growing zone.

Don’t underestimate what your neighbors, parents, grandparents, friends, and local nursery owners, master gardeners, and farmer’s market vendors can teach you! Be open to trying new things and do your own research to see what holds water.
